WoodGreen’s Digital Annual Report x2 – A Case Study

Woodgreen Annual Report 2022

WoodGreen provides more than 37,000 Toronto residents with the tools and support they need to thrive. As one of the largest social service agencies in Toronto, they remove barriers and empower the clients they serve. We worked with WoodGreen to launch its first entirely digital Impact Report in 2022 and then we created their next digital report the following year. This initiative marks a significant transformation in how the organization communicates its yearly achievements and impact. By transitioning to a digital format, WoodGreen was able to enhance accessibility, engage stakeholders more interactively, and increase the shareability of their reports.

“This year’s Impact Report is unique because it is our first one to ever be 100 per cent digital. The move to having a digital report is not only environmentally friendly, but it also gives us the opportunity to share more stories about the impact of our work and to do so in an interactive way. It also makes it easy for you to share with others and to show why you support WoodGreen”

Summary

The digital Impact Report was designed with a mobile-first approach, ensuring full responsiveness on mobile and tablet devices. Ensuring the report is user-friendly on all devices is crucial for engagement.

One of the most important design decisions involves balancing interactive elements with quick, informative content helps maintain user interest without overwhelming them.

By going digital not only was WoodGreen able to reduce their print costs, they were able to create a more engaging report that also has SEO benefits + advanced analytical tracking.

This approach sets a new standard for non-profits looking to increase their transparency and stakeholder engagement through technology. Oh – and we also create a printable PDF version just in case a stakeholder really wanted a printable version.
